SUMMARY
 This Division 2.21s quicker than the first and time stands up well against the 3yo Listed race winner (Hannon's Angel's Pursuit) who ran 72.16 carrying 3lbs less than Strong Suit.
Solid pace set by Straight Line on Centre to Stands strip. RRascal leading small group further over with Neebras in behind that one
Hannon traditionally runs the best of his 6f 2yos in this maiden (occasionally later in the month at Goodwood). Recent debut winners for his in the race include Canford Cliffs & Major Cadeaux who both went on to the Coventry Stakes (1st & 2nd) and both placed in the 2,000 Guineas.
Strong Suit supported as if the better on this year and pull clear in the manner you would expect. Hughes having to wait alongside SLine through the penultimate furlong waiting to make his effort. Strong response at the 1F pole when asked and pressure from Neebras pull to pair clear. SSuit finish strongly and won comfortably. Jockey said SSuit less electric than CCliffs in performance but felt he was another really high class one.
Remarkably good effort by Neebras on debut in the context of this race chasing SSuit right to the line. Debut runs of this strength unusual for the trainer and usually indicate Listed+ type.
Pace presumably spread field out by ability mostly. A couple of supported horses of good size finish well back and may develop better than average. MConquest hauled back early to lose 4L to the pace then green before the efforts started. Got back to a volunteer 5th for HnH. Trainer has moderate record developing these types.
Shostakovich supported in the morning and hyped up on TV then. Drifted on course. Another big one and the jockey at pains to teach him to settle. Bouts of running freely early and then alowed to drift back in the last 2F and jockey doing little. Typical for trainer to have lost debuts and can develop well from them.
Tarjeyh prominent early but lose ground as soon as the efforts made 2F out. Another moderate debut for trainer who used to get regular strong debuts and wins but more varaible these days unless the horse is higher class.
