SUMMARY
G by 11:00am following 6mm Rainfall from 07:00am and Light Rain still falling.GFG as on Decs. 3mm Watering Tues and overnight Thu-Fri.

Rails Fully In.

Several issues with the Breeze Video for Passionate Appeal but not enough to explain 15k price. A stayer at a 'Now' 2yo Sale contributing? Smaller Medium and a bit Narrow but moving ok in the Gather (Duffield 'Type'?). Looking smaller in the Breeze and the rider looking Big on him. Holds his head up and stiff and a pounding action in front. But, rolls along at his pace and finishes the Breeze off mostly.Picture on the Duffield website making him look shorter & narrow.

[Oct 3] Sekura's Girl doing a lot wrong and clearly a diffifult ride. Ran too free on debut and a low level effort at 2f out and fading 0.5f out. WD on her intended STO when she burrowed out of the front of the stalls. Long break to this run and in FT headgear. Appeared to be blindfolded in the stalls and this being removed late seemed to mean a 2L slow start near the Rail. Driven along to recover the grpound and hold her position. But she started running freely again and pulled to the lead and never quite settled and looking too forward going overall. Add to the problems by not handling the bend at all and hanging Right throughout. Willingly going forward again once balanced in the HS. Low level effort again before the last 0.5f fade as on debut. Could be usable 60s and better than shown if she can develop to put a competent, settled, race together.

Stewards' Enquiry Text = "The Stewards considered the apparent improvement in form of the winner, CAPE HIDEAWAY, ridden by Jason Hart and trained by Mark Walford, compared with its previous run at Thirsk on 18 August 2014, where the gelding finished eight of eleven, beaten approximately 11 1/2 lengths. They noted the trainer’s explanation that the gelding benefited from the step up in trip to seven furlongs. They ordered CAPE HIDEAWAY to be routine tested.".
