SUMMARY
Pace too strong up front with Apamurra & fiercely pulling White Chin getting hooked up as a leading pair. Setting race up for a Closer. Somebody To Love top on profile because of a solid Breeze video. Has an upright neck (showed again here last 1f) but moves very straight and uses her reach well. Stayed on in the breeze and here. Medium build at most if cleanly made. Movement moving her up the scale somewhat but lack of build should limit her at some point (aoiding SANOI because of mixed messgaes ay present).

Somebody To Love review

Difficult race to sort out by physique with it being split between short and chunky boys and slim girls. Perhaps Somebody To Love Missing The Break and Ryan Moore accepting this and letting her find her rhythm and balance at the back together with a typically suicidal pace set by Kingscote on White Chin drawing all the others into an early pace battle set this up making StL look more impressive than her physique suggested. It reminds me of Torment’s fto win for Hannon and Moore at Windsor last year.

Somebody To Love – Poor start from worst draw and stuck behind but took off in the last furlong and won easily. Small lightly made filly, if anything even lighter than Apamurra although a bit more length. Hard to see her as an obvious winner even in retrospect. Has some natural speed. 77

Blue Suede – A bit more substance than StL, small, bit green and apprehensive. Shot out of the gates and pulled hard for a couple of furlongs, stuck on well all things considered. 75

Mutawakked – About the best physique in the pre-parade, just a neat and ready one, not quite into medium. Like all of Meehan’s I have seen not fully tuned. He is overdue a debut winner. 75

Vote – Similar size and scope to Mutawakked if a tad lighter as a filly. Looked to be a little unlucky in running. Traine has not had a 2yo winner since 2008. This one should win a small race 74

Apamurra – Perhaps Joe Fanning did not want a repeat of the Goodwood debut so jumped this one out quickly and got into an early duel with Kingscote on White Chin which left her vulnerable. She does not really have the strength and size to justify the reputation that has led her to be a fav both starts. 73

Sans Souci Bay – Another chunky boy. Small and short bodied. 66

Hilario – Biggest in the field, medium size, strong type, fat in the Hills style. Not ready, taken wide and not asked to do a lot in the race. Not meant for today. 74

White Chin – Awkwardly made little barrel. 64
