Another race in an unusual start to the season where the green juvenile out-the-back early managed to come through to win. ==== Review Notes contributed by @hughonthehill (Twitter handle) ===== ==== Note :- The ratings number at the end of each review summary is an estimate of what OR they might reach rather than a reflection of how they ran on the day. See the Paddock Review Rating Section on this website for reference. Visionary review The angle of the sun and slope of the paddock making photography and paddock review tricky. A pretty average bunch of customers here and another race which fell into Jamie Spencer’s lap rewarding his drop’em out no matter what philosophy. That said he did not have to use his stick and outrode Bishop on Raffle King Visionary – Very ordinary looking low end of medium sized colt calm in prelims and well prepared but no more than 90% fit. Appeared to have more knee action than some on way to post. 67 Sheila’s Lad – marginally smaller than Visionary, 2to here and will have to find a weak race to win. 64 Raffle King – Left with the feeling that Has De Sousa been here he would have better organised this chap and added one to his tally. Biggest in the paddock and looked more tuned than the rest. A bit too playful for his own good and did not know enough of what to do in the race. Best physical specimen, appeared fittest and medium sized. 70 Charlie Beer Punt – compact and limited type, well organised by Kingscote. 60 Swell Hill – around the same size as Visionary, perhaps a bit lighter, plain, didn’t look ready 60 Spin Top – Small. Lightly made unimpressive. Bucking and tricky on way to post but behaved himself at stalls and in race. 58 Bill’s Delight – Maybe Bill’s but no one else’s. Very lightly made, narrow lacking scope, appeared fit 50 |
