Dabyah review – a decent race in which it was difficult to sort out the fittest and readiest. Charlie Hills as is commonplace running two good looking ones short of full fitness.

Dabyah – Strongly made medium filly with a powerful back end. Hard to see the difference in standard shown here over the rest so inclined to think she is a good one. 86

Amabilis – Another strongly made filly, not quite the width through the chest of Dabyah, good scope and athleticism. If anything looked fitter than the winner. 82

Dubara – Smallest of the first four and Adam Kirby tried to use her experience to run the finish out of the others but not big and strong enough. 74

Pichola Dance – Lower medium, light framed, looked tremendously fit, a bit over-wrought in prelims. 76

Sasini – Powerfully made particularly at the front, deep chest and very top end of medium size. Should improve a lot for more fitness. 80

Whispered Promise – medium sized athletic low slung character. Short of full fitness improve 77

Excellent Sunset – Full medium sized and looked fully tuned. Just a bit light for her frame and leggy. Should be ok when filled out. 75

Varun’s Bride – Small, neat and ready type, surprised how poorly she performed. Should win a small race this season unless she is just slow. Too big an ask against these better ones. 72

Mary Anne Evans – Medium sized, heavily built slightly backward looking beast with an odd set up, too small head. Heavy set and there has to be a question if she can shift her bulk. Not fit today and here more for experience. 75 but might be no use.
