Review Notes contributed by @hughonthehill (Twitter handle) ===== ==== Note :- The ratings number at the end of each review summary is an estimate of what OR they might reach rather than a reflection of how they ran on the day. See the Paddock Review Rating Section on this website for reference. Tiburtina review Not a terrible race and there should be a few fillies race winners emerge albeit at a moderate level. Tiburtina Developed nicely in terms of fitness from debut and a bit of a poor miss give n her previous experience. Compact, top end of small, neat and ready. More scope than Texas Katie. 78 Spinnaker Bay Caught the eye repeatedly, same size as Tiburtina but a bit more poise and athleticism. Looked super fit and ready. William Jarvis usually gets a debut winner and I think this may have been the one just edged out by a more experienced filly. 77 Beck and Call Chunky one who still was pretty fat so this may need marking up. Strongly made in a small frame. 76 Texas Katie Just that essential Channon lightness catching her out, not quite the substance to match these in a battle. 75 Sparkle Low end of medium, not fit enough to compete for the win but enough size about her and good build to improve 73 Heavenly Angel Big, tall and lengthy, a bit boaty. Enough substance to improve considerably, perhaps over further. 76 Intisha Small but fit enough to do her best. Ran green in the race, should improve for the run but probably needs an auction race. 72 Joyful Dream Small and ordinary, rather typical of this stable this year. Undercooked as is typical and maybe ok for a weak aw heat somewhere down the line. 66 Foxcatcher Not sure what to make of this one. Looked fit and ready, upper medium with strength and length. Hint of boatyness. Reported to have run green and once she had been bumped and wandered Adam Kirby was very forgiving of her. Cant help thinking she is better than this. Heavily backed close to the off. 75+ Partitia Stoute and Moore in these colours can be of great benefit to the bookmakers in cases like this. An irrational favourite for anyone who was there. Ok size and strength but lots of condition, here to learn about racing and either never was or never could be put in the race. 74 Royal Melody Typical Heather Main run. Go like a bat out of hell and then pack it up 2f out. Green and sweaty beforehand, hard to believe this was the 4th run. Hannons would get a win out of her. Might pick up a nursery if she can teach herself how to run. 65 Faith In Me more market irrationality. Big, heavy lump, still fat, no hint of fitness. Not at all typical of trainers debuts. Might be a slow and stuffy one, maybe needs time. Might never go on from this but might be much better, or one for nurseries. 72 |
