=== Pre Race ===
Fahey SL piece = "Champion Harbour was a little disappointing on debut but I think he just got bogged down at Nottingham. I thought he'd run better there but he's entitled to progress for the run and is a horse we like. ".
=== Post Race ===
Solid Pace off the rails and field drifting further Centre through the race. 1st two home racing on the Stands Side of the Group.
Afandem only one of 3 Leading Line to finish race off. Taller than Another Angel and solid strength behind if a bit gawky in front (doesn't stop Galileo Gold who won the 2,000 Guineas clear for Palmer on the day). Gleaming coat (despite an April colder than most of the official winter and the last week featuring snow in various parts of the country and very cold starts to the days. Solidly fit. Mostly fit and only a little green. Seem to be looming over AAngel from before halfway and going better. Pulled clear and seemed promising an presume OR85+. Had to remind yourself we are seeing the best of the early 90+ juveniles Palmer has. Immediate feeling after the race that his results are getting a-bit-too-good-to-be-true with Hyperfocus, GGold etc. Worth also noting the duff runs by Zumran & Roseland earlier in the week and Copper Knight's defeat. Afandem a home-bred but check who does Palmer's sales buying. .
Rusumaat niggled along by halfway and effectively staying on into a volunteer second past those fading back. But, Rusumaat looking a bit better type than expected and see if he looks like he is developing 3TO and has 75 possibility.

Afandem Post Race. Note the coat condition and fitness.
Another Angel the lower slung heavy sprinter as expected and more competent here. But, running a bit too free in the Leading Line and not seeing the 5f out. Clearly he might end up being an OTC type but still inclined to think he is an OR80 one and will develop with racing and faster conditions.
Champion Harbour a 2nd later runner from a NOTT race which looked mostly sub-75. CH not as likeable types as AA & Afandem but seemed to be running a solid race until wobbling inside the last 1f (having made a similar effort to AA and trying hard) and then losing ground quickly. Check whether the bit had slipped through his mouth.
Northern Thunder's Breeze Video a mostly usable.solid impression. A solidly built sprinter with a fastich action. Got unbalanced on the softer going there and clearly a worry here. Looking ok for OR74, say, but a check needed to see what size he was and whether he can move efficiently in the right set-up.
