April 4th SUMMING UP
|
A poor quality race on profile, the type to watch through your parted fingers.
Soto has the best profile but on normal trainer methods is unlikely to
improve much from debut. This would make him vulnerable to a better type
but the rest of the field look too limited unless Queens Bounty and/or
Lucys Lady can rate 50+ here.
|
RACE QUALITY:
|
The race is a Class 7 Auction.
The race is usually low quality with only seller winners in behind. The
winner often rates in the 50s but a slightly better, early type, such as
Westbrook Blue in 2004, can rate in the 60s.
|
TRAINERS:
|
WGM Turner who has had a winner in each of the last two racing days
after having made a very poor start to the season. He had the winner of
this race in 2004 with a runner who had been placed in the Brocklesby on
debut.
P Haslam has his first runner of the season in the race. He had
a runner finish a distant fourth in 2004 when he had a very rare FTO winner
in the Fillies' Auction race at the course which takes place on the Friday
of this week in 2005.
Notable for his absence is J Given who has had a runner in the last
two races including the 2003 winner. He has not had a 2yo runner in 2005
yet.

SIRES:
|
First season sire Primo
Valentino has his second runner (Lucys Lady). |
PADDOCK REVIEWS:
|
Fashion Chic was paddock reviewed at Lingfield and received a rating of
55 and was notably short for her length. Looked limited to rating in the
50s at best.
