MAY 8th SUMMING UP
|
A low quality edition of the race and a tricky choice between a number
of closely matched 2yos.
Piccostar has shown the best form although all on the Lingfield
AW. She has a 6lb penalty and would be vulnerable to a better unpenalised
runner.
Suhezy & Christa Bee receive 6lb from Piccostar and would
only have to show a little improvement from their previous form to be competitive
with Piccostar. Suhezy has shown good pace but late race fades in two runs
in more testing conditions than she has here. Christa Bee looks less well
adapted to the faster 5f track at Redcar and is likely to be keeping on
at the end of the race but with others likely to have more pace.

RACE QUALITY:
|
The race has previously been a Class F Novice. It usually attracts a relatively
strong field given the status and the 2002-3 races included five 2yos that
rated 80+ during the season and two of those rated 90+.
The 2004 race cut-up with three non runners but still included two average
2yo winners.
A rating of over 70 is usually required to win.
