Likely only to need a moderate performance to win the race on soft ground.
None of the runners has a strong profile to rate highly in the race.
On the evidence of the races so far in 2005 many trainers do not have their
2yos as forward as usual. The soft ground for many races has led to runners
with previous runs (even achieving low ratings) to be able to beat runners
with better profiles and long term prospects.

RACE QUALITY:
|
Race has been Class F in previous seasons limited to sires with a relatively
low sales price median value. This has produced races with a wide variety
of abilities represented.
The majority of runners have been minor winners, at best, during the season.
However each running usually has at least one useful 2yo in it (Willhewiz
& Iron Lad in 2002, Promenade & Mac Love in 2003, Berkhamsted in
2004).

TRAINERS:
|
None of the trainers with runners have had a runner in the race in 2003-4.
M Quinlan ran the useful Iron Lad in the race in 2002 who finished 5th.
B. Palling ran the moderate Monte Verde in the same 2002 race who finished
4th.
