APRIL 22nd SUMMING UP
|
The pair Bow Bridge and Suhezy who showed promise in the same race at Beverley
set the standard from those that have run. With Bow Bridge not likely to
improve it may be close between them.
However, they do not set a standard which is unreachable by the better
fillies on debut and Taras Tornado has the best profile of these. The trainer's
record with the two 2yos she has run in 2002-4 require that Solo Star be
assessed even though the sire is a negative.

RACE QUALITY:
|
The race has been run as a Novice Auction in the last two years and has
been won by previous winners in those seasons. The runners behind have
tended to be smaller fillies limited to minor wins rating in the 60s at
best.
This race is now a Maiden Auction with the weights ranging from 8-8 to
8-2 in line with the level of the fillies' sales price.

SIRES:
|
First season sires Almushtarak
(Gamesters Lady), Bertolini
(Bow Bridge), Distant Music
(Taras Tornado) & Observatory
(Solo Star) have runners. None has had a winner yet.

SALES REVIEWS:
|
Lyndalee was reviewed at the sales and was just under medium size
but with a heavy build. She was slightly leggy but notably mature. She
was seen as likely to be able to rate around 70 as a 2yo.
Titus Wonder was below medium size at the sales and slightly lightly
built. She lacked some scope to develop and some range in her movement.
She was seen as being able to rate in the low 60s at best.
Dispol Shabama was a similar size and build to Titus Wonder at the
sales but lengthier and lighter behind. She was a moderate mover behind.
She was seen as being able to rate around 60 at best.
