MAY 19th SUMMING UP
|
The runners with previous runs look unlikely to set a strong standard.
In a race with more than the usual number of fillies of good potential
it is likely that one of them will be the winner.
Rubber, Amorada, Flash And Dazzle & Marriage Value all
have the potential to be above average. None of them run for trainer's
that target strong debuts but all get FTO winners with better types. R
Hannon has a solid record in the race and usually introduces an at least
slight above average tpye. He runs two her and Rubber has the better profile.

RACE QUALITY:
|
Usually not as strong a maiden as would be expected. It tends to attract
runners from a small range of trainers and they often run average types
for 'bigger' owners. The race usually includes at least one useful filly
and ordinary maiden winners amongst the beaten runners.

TRAINERS:
|
R Hannon has had a runner in the last three races. He had the second
in 2003 and the winner in a weak race in 2004. His two runner sin
2002 finished 4th & 5th and one was a late season maiden winner..
We are reaching the period when he tends to debut better fillies before
Royal Ascot and the better ones can win. In 2004 Baltic Dip won this race
FTO and also in 2004 Jewel In the Sand and Dont Tell Mum both won on debut
in this period.
The trainer debuts three in the two 6f Fillies' maidens today. The two
in this race are ridden by R Moore and R Hughes. The Newmarket runner has
P Dobbs.
J Gosden ran two fillies in 2002 and the 33/1 second string Pearl
Dance (who was notably small but a very good mover) won and went on to
place at Royal Ascot. The first string had to go to Redcar to win a maiden.
In the last two seasons he has had unplaced fillies at typical SPs for
his debut runners whether useful or not.
